How to Check Samsung Warranty Status in 2026

Samsung offers multiple ways to check warranty status for Galaxy phones, tablets, and wearables. Whether you are checking your own device or verifying before buying a used Samsung phone, this guide covers every official method and what the results mean.

Method 1: Samsung Members App (Fastest — In-App)

  1. Open the Samsung Members app on your Samsung device
  2. Tap SupportPhone Diagnostics
  3. Your warranty status, expiry date, and service options are displayed instantly

Samsung Members is pre-installed on all Galaxy phones. This method only works if you have the phone in hand.

Method 2: Samsung's Warranty Check Website

  1. Go to samsung.com/global/galaxy/apps/samsung-members/ or search "Samsung warranty check" on samsung.com for your country
  2. Enter your device's IMEI number (dial *#06#) or serial number
  3. Results show warranty type, purchase date, and expiry date

Note: Samsung's online warranty checker availability varies by country. For India, use samsung.com/in/support/warranty-checker/. For Australia, samsung.com/au/support/.

Method 3: IMEI Check for Samsung Warranty

A premium IMEI check at imeicheckpro.com includes Samsung warranty status, purchase date, and service eligibility as part of the full device report. This works for Samsung Galaxy S, A, M, F, and Z series.

Samsung Warranty Periods by Product (2026)

  • Galaxy S and Z series: 1 year limited warranty (2 years in EU/UK)
  • Galaxy A series: 1 year limited warranty
  • Galaxy M and F series: 1 year limited warranty
  • Galaxy Tab series: 1 year limited warranty
  • Galaxy Watch and Buds: 1 year limited warranty

Samsung Care+ (Extended Warranty)

Samsung Care+ is Samsung's extended warranty and accidental damage protection program. It extends coverage to 2–3 years and includes accidental damage repair (screen breaks, liquid damage) at a discounted rate. Check if Samsung Care+ is active via Samsung Members app or the IMEI check.

Finding Samsung IMEI and Serial Number

  • IMEI: Dial *#06# or Settings → About Phone → Status → IMEI Information
  • Serial Number: Settings → About Phone → Serial Number; also printed on the SIM tray and original box
  • IMEI on box: Printed on the white sticker on the retail box

Samsung Warranty for International Purchases (Grey Market Risk)

Samsung warranties are often country-specific. A Samsung Galaxy S25 purchased in South Korea may not be covered by Samsung warranty in India or the USA. This is a significant risk for phones purchased on eBay, AliExpress, or from international sellers. Symptoms:

  • Warranty checker returns "No warranty found" for your country
  • Samsung Service Centre refuses to service under warranty
  • Software region may be locked (different software versions for different markets)

Always verify the purchase region via IMEI check before buying an imported Samsung — our premium report includes purchase region and warranty validity for your country.

What Voids Samsung Warranty

  • Physical damage from drops, impacts, or liquid (unless covered by Samsung Care+)
  • Rooting or flashing unofficial firmware (Knox security flag is tripped — irreversible)
  • Damage from using non-Samsung approved chargers or accessories
  • Removal of Samsung warranty stickers or serial number labels
  • Repairs by non-Samsung Authorised Service Centres
