Nokia Warranty Check: How to Verify HMD Global Coverage

Nokia smartphones are manufactured by HMD Global (since 2016). HMD offers a standard 2-year warranty in the EU and 1–2 years in other markets. Nokia is also known for its clean Android software and guaranteed OS updates — here's how to verify warranty status.

How to Check Nokia Warranty

Method 1 — Nokia Support Website:

  1. Go to nokia.com/phones/support
  2. Select your country and find the warranty check option
  3. Enter your IMEI number

Method 2 — My Nokia Account: Create an account at nokia.com → register your device → warranty information appears in device profile

Method 3 — IMEI Check: imeicheckpro.com premium report includes Nokia warranty data.

Nokia Warranty Periods

  • EU/UK: 2 years legal warranty under EU consumer law
  • India: 1 year limited warranty
  • Other markets: 1–2 years depending on country

Nokia's Unique Android One Advantage

Nokia phones run Android One (clean Android with no manufacturer UI). This means guaranteed Android updates for 2–3 years and security patches for 3 years. When buying a used Nokia, check both the warranty status (via IMEI) and the Android version/update support via nokia.com/phones/en_int/security-updates to understand how much software life remains.

Finding Nokia IMEI

  • Dial *#06#
  • Settings → About Phone → IMEI
  • Under the removable back cover on models that support it
  • Original box barcode label
